Is there a way to have a skins section here on the board? Like full tutorials on here to help newbies out like me so I dont have to ask such silly questions? Also maybe a links section to pimp your own board here.

Check the Hints & Tips forum, it contants a few guides, you might have to do a little digging though. I know there is a wonderful CSS guide pinned. It will help you identify all the bits there are.
