Steve_K
We use the forum feature of promoting users from group to group after n number of posts, but we'd like to change our forum policy so that after a member has been with us for N number of days/months they are promoted to another group. Can i please ask that this option be considered?
damien245uk
I would expect you could do this via a scheduled task fairly easily - basically you'd just run an SQL query where everyone who registered between x and y moves to member group z. Whilst I agree that it would make a 'nice' feature addition, it isn't really necessary for it to be a selectable option in the ACP. However, some documentation from IPB suggesting how you might do things of this nature would certainly be welcomed; even so far as to provide the code for it "as is" perhaps...? tranceandy
Suggested this a while ago but nothing came of it :( I do think it is a good idea as members should be rewarded by registered time at the forums and/or number of posts
Why Two Kay
+1 You could say "At least 100 posts and member for more than a month gets put into group X"
Rοb
I think this would be a good feature, especially if it can be a mixture of time & posts.
