Hello, are there applications / plugins which allow the implementation of a phone / sms verification for new customers? We faced a lot creditcard fraud which we would like to prevent this by adding an extra security obstacle (SMS / phone verification). There are a couple providers which offer an easy to use API for such stuff. Obviously sending SMS / phone verifications cost money but 0.05$ / successful verification is better than a 25$ chargeback fee for every 10th-20th customer.

I'm not sure where to ask this, so I thought I would start here. MySQL 5.7 implements the strict features of most other DBMS's. Previously MySQL would correct a lot of errors quietly, but with 5.7, the queries or transactions will generate a hard error and will fail. Will IP.Board work with MySQL 5.7?

I'm new to IPS and trying to figure out how to use developer mode. 1. It's a bad idea to run dev mode on production server so I have to run a copy on my dev machine. Can I use the same license to install it? Will it not be treated like double installation or something? 2. After making changes to the app and rebuilding it how do I transfer the new version to the production machine? Will simply replacing the app files be enough or maybe it also does changes to DB like storing compiled js or something?... 3. Do I understand it correctly that I do not need the "dev" folders for those apps that I do not intend to make changes to?

I'm trying to set up FTP as storage for uploads but encounter the following error message no matter what I do "Could not move into the directory specified. Check the directory is correct and the user provided has permission to access it." I have created a folder in root called files/uploads and set it to 0777. The user login have access to the folder files and its subfolders. There's no error except for the one above so all the credentials are right. I don't know what I'm doing wrong anymore. Anyone help?

Hi, We have the Commerce/store plugin for our IPS forum site, and when creating a new product there are options for generating license keys. Where can I find documentation for how to use this and how to code the actual software we're selling to only be installable if the customer enters the license key (serial number) that IPS has generated for them upon purchase? Hello, If I activate the option "Show Records like articles" I get a short preview of each article (as plain text) listed on the page. There are a few things I would like to change and hope, you can help me. I'm missing the formatting in the listing. If I click on "Read More" I can see some the links, some bold text , but this is missing on the listing page. After doing everything for the twitter login handler set up, I tested it out and it says it will need these permissions This application will be able to: Read Tweets from your timeline. See who you follow, and follow new people. Update your profile. Post Tweets for you. Will not be able to: Access your direct messages. See your email address. See your Twitter password. Why does the login handler need any of these? This is going to deter people from logging in via Twitter? Why does it need read and write permissions and not read only?

This must be something obvious, but I cannot find it. I am admin, so naturally I should have all permission regarding promoting, but when I visit the Our Picks page on my community, I am greeted by this: Is it some obscure permission setting I am missing or it is a bug? And yeah, I checked, admin group is allowed to promote items. In fact, I can promote items, I can delete promoted items, but for some reason I cannot view them on the page.

Hello I'm developing a small service and the users can write comments. The users should logg in to write a comment, but I will prevent them to register a new account, because they are already registred in the IP Board. The user simply login with IP Board username/email and password. I validate it and set a $_SESSION['logged_in'] variable to true. Very simple. But I don't understand, how I do this. I guess it is not possible with REST API (I was very confused as I realized that, because in my opinion, it should be possible). Since upgrade I cant embed YouTube links anywhere. I mean, removing the automatic embed and just show links work, but whenever the automatic embed occurs and the video shows I cant save that post, download or whatever. It just loops back into edit mode and can't be saved until I convert the embed into a raw link.

Hey peeps. I'm having some trouble using the "Add files from server path" function when trying to upload files as admin. Basically nothing is happening and I have tried every path name I can figure out. I have uploaded a file using FTP to a folder in root named "files", so I tried using the following paths; files/filename /home/hostname/public_html/files/filename /hostname/public_html/files/filename /public_html/files/filename And as I said, nothing is working. So I'm sure it's just me that is confused about how to use the function. Any help?
