I updated my theme and now my entire site looks completely different. There are now texture backgrounds I never chose, my logo is missing in the header, everything looks different. What did I do wrong? I reverted both the global template and navbar template. The ipskit plugin is installed. How do I get my old theme colors and look back? I don't see a palete export option.

Hi,
Maybe your ips license is expired!
You can't download/install from ips marketplace if the license is expired
My license is definitely not expired. I managed to install the IPS update first without updating the theme. Looks like I am able to update Magnum now, but it's having me repurchase it for $40 instead of renewing for $15. I contacted IPS and waiting to hear back. Not sure why I would have to buy the theme again since I already bought it.

Hey @TAMAN I'm trying to update my theme so I can update my Invision and it's giving me this. Is there another way to update?

sorry this should work
.ta_back-to-top { left: auto; right: 25px; }
That did the trick. Thanks

sure
add in custom.css
.ta_back-to-top { right: 25px; }
I don't think that worked. I found it in the baseframework.css and changed it with good results, but the custom css did not do the trick. Are we missing something?

Hi,
Yes this means you haven't updated the templates
globalTemplate and navBar template needs to be updated for the theme to work properly.
This two templates are the only ones modified by me if you have any other modified templates you will need to check them manually.
But there are also a bunch of custom templates in Magnum Theme they also need to be updated
A quick solution to save u the headache
Make a copy of your current theme
Then delete the original theme. (The one with ips marketplace tag on it.)
After that reinstall Magnum Theme from ips marketplace.
And then if you have customizations you don't want to lose like colors or whatever... simply copy paste from the version you copied
Thanks buddy. That worked out well.
Quick request...can I move the "back to top of page" arrow to the right side of the screen? I have the light/dark theme selector disabled and would like the arrow on the right instead.

I seem to have lost the mobile nav menu with the last update. It works ok on default, but not on Magnum.
I have a feeling I might not have updated the theme properly. When it showed the differences after the update for the templates, I clicked the save button at the bottom instead of selecting the new set on the right? Is that likely the problem? Did I not update my templates properly? Sorry, its been a while since I messed with this.
UPDATE: I fixed it by reverting the global template. I wonder if any other templates should be reverted to apply any updates.

Hi,
Well it could be the theme if you have edited the templates
Try to revert this HTML template in the theme back to default
includeMeta
--
If that does not fix try to download the latest theme file in Marketplace and update. "Make sure to select the new version of templates during theme update"
Reverting the includeMeta template fixed it. I also made sure the theme version was current. That did the trick. Thanks as always TAMAN!

Hi there @TAMAN
I recently went to change/update my Facebook share image and now it doesn't work. I simply deleted the old image and uploaded a new one.
When I use Facebook's debugger tool, it is telling me this...
Invalid Image Content Type
Provided og:image URL, https://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/uploads/ could not be processed as an image because it has an invalid content type.I have tried different sizes and file types, but no matter what Facebook scrapes the image file name as https://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/uploads/I contacted IPS support and they said it was an issue with my theme being outdated.QuoteI would suggest contacting the author of your custom theme. When I switch to an unmodified theme, I am not seeing this issue present and the full image URL for your sharer image is appearing in the HTML. Likely your theme is out of date here and causing this particular issue.
Does that sound right? I didn't think it was something to do with the theme. Thanks for your help -

But have you checked all the permissions?
You need to check the Page permissions and the Database permissions and the Block permissions if you have.
if you set the database to display default without any of my customization's do the errors still happen??
You can check this by setting the Display and the Listing groups of the database to default and not the S1 styles. If it happens even on default templates and on default IPS theme then you need to file a ticket so IPS can fix it for you. just do not mention any third party addons or themes in your ticket because they will send you back to me 🙂
If it does not happen on default database templates and on the default theme, then send me a message i can check it out for you.
But everything works fine on my side
As for the articles not showing for some members: I checked all permissions and they all checked out ok. I just deleted all the templates and uploaded them again and now the articles now show up for all groups and it works. Strange.
The reactions system still isn't working on my pages and I did check and see if it works on default theme and default display mode- same results. I will contact IPS again and have them look into it.
Thanks for your help as always.

And does it also happen on default theme if you test?
also, are other databases use the same Pages article styles of main?
Check the permissions then! 🙂
Yes, also happens on the default theme. I told that to IPS, but apparently, they still think it's a theme issue.
I did check the permissions. They are all set to view records, but only guests and myself (admin) can see them. I even logged in as another admin and they are not visible and I get the same error as before I updated. I switched the template to a default display and they are visible with no error.

Does it happen on any other databases? or does any other users have the same issue when reacting to the records?
yes it happens on both my "news" and "conditions" databases. Both of them use Pages.
While testing that out while logged in as a member, now I see my new articles don't show up for members. Ugh, this is a mess. Thought I had it all working right.
-
I see no modifications to any of those. I wonder what else could be causing the issue.
-
Update went good.
Curious if you might know what is causing this issue. The reactions system isn't working on my pages. Works fine on the forum. I contacted IPS and they think it's something to do with the theme. I can't find any issue though. This was an issue even before the update. I've just dealt with it.

Check the Update section in the "Pages Article Styles" documentation, screenshots are also provided there on how to delete and what to delete.
That's what I was looking at. Just wanted to clarify. Looks like it's just the S1 templates on database and block plugin templates.
Looks like I didn't screw anything up.

Which templates need to be deleted before updating?

If these are the "A different article styles" addon then yes, it needs to be updated and i haven't update them yet in marketplace
OK I will wait for the update.
2 hours ago, EmpireKickass said:I had the same error but for me it was an easy simple fix.. Just edit the database and under "Templates" then "Display Template Group" and chnage it to display and it works and the error goes away. Once the plugin is updated it can be adjusted to how you like it LOL
I'm not sure I follow what you are talking about.

Hey @TAMAN , not sure if this is a theme issue or something else. Any ideas?
After updating to 4.4 and the latest Magnum theme, none of our news articles show up. This is what I get.
-

-
I think I figured it out. Seems it might be another plugin (Instagram feed) I have installed was causing the problem.
-
I did see that and already deleted them. Does the "different article styles" templates need to be updated?
-
After upgrading to the most recent theme, my homepage is all messed up. I used to have 4 news articles, now there is only one and it overflows off the page. Any ideas, @TAMAN ?

Thanks buddy

Is there a scroll to top button option which I can use on mobile devices?
If not can anyone recommend one which works with this theme?
Thanks & Happy New Year
I use this plugin. It works with Magnum theme and on mobile...and the best part is it's free!
Magnum Theme [ support topic ]

Just updated to 4.3.7 and have problems.
1. I have no logo in my header anymore even though I have one uploaded.
2. There is no nav menu on mobile and the entire user dropdown menu is gone.
3. The "back to top" arrow is no longer inside the circle" It is just to the right of it.
