  1. If anyone wants to see a good GDPR compliant cookie solution, this is pretty solid. It allows for per-category cookie consent and doesn't drop cookies until you explicitly consent. https://onetrust.com/cookie-policy/ There's probably going to be a lot of confusion for a while with regards to what constitues Legitimate Interest (for example IPS cookies) and what requires consent (Facebook Pixel, Doubleclick, etc).
  2. Current automatic embeds of YT videos use the default embed URL which adds a number of cookies to site visitors, for example Google Doubleclick. Could this please be changed to use the Privacy Enhanced version so that these cookies aren't automatically added as currently this is a GDPR risk with regards to obtaining consent around third party tracking. For example this embed: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/dQw4w9WgXcQ" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> Instead of: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dQw4w9WgXcQ" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  3. Yeah, but now my site can't send emails and I have to waste my afternoon trying to fix it. Sigh. FWIW, a company I worked at sends ~2 million emails a day through Sparkpost, any issues with it tends to be user error with people not understanding technical email authentication more than anything else. Moving to Sendgrid won't help those people.
  4. This has been broken since the beta, I get connection refused errors whenever my site tries to send an email. ?‍♂️
  5. Why does site speed matter so much to you? Are you seeing a correlation with that and user engagement metrics?
  6. Pretty sure there's nothing illegal with cyber squatting. The only area where it could be problematic is if it's using a trademarked word.
  7. I've just tried to implement the Release Notes pages guide and have noticed that: The Guide seems to be jumbled up. The JS does not work Can someone confirm? My site page: https://www.rendforums.com/patch-notes/ JS Code: ;( function($, _, undefined){ "use strict"; ips.controller.register('pages.front.releaseNotes.main', { _ajaxObj: null, initialize: function () { this.on( 'click', '[data-releaseID]', this.showRelease ); this.setup(); }, setup: function () { // Find the current release if available var showFirst = this.scope.find('[data-role="releases"] [data-currentRelease]'); if( !showFirst.length ) { showFirst = this.scope.find('[data-role="releases"] [data-releaseID]').first(); } if( showFirst.length ){ showFirst.click(); } }, showRelease: function (e) { e.preventDefault(); var self = this; var link = $( e.currentTarget ).attr('href'); var infoPanel = this.scope.find('[data-role="releaseInfo"]'); // Cancel any current requests if( this._ajaxObj && _.isFunction( this._ajaxObj.abort ) ){ this._ajaxObj.abort(); } // Set panel to loading infoPanel .css({ height: infoPanel.height() + 'px' }) .html( $('<div/>').addClass('ipsLoading').css({ height: '100px' }) ); // Unhighlight all others, then highlight this one this.scope.find('[data-releaseID]').removeClass('cRelease_active'); $( e.currentTarget ).addClass('cRelease_active'); this._ajaxObj = ips.getAjax()( link, { data: { rating_submitted: 1 } }) .done( function (response) { var responseContent = $("<div>" + response + "</div>"); var content = responseContent.find('#elCmsPageWrap'); infoPanel.html( content ).css({ height: 'auto' }); $( document ).trigger( 'contentChange', [ infoPanel ] ); }); } }); }(jQuery, _));
  8. @xtech if I understand this right, it means I can't create separate lookups for reciprocal items based on what database they're in? That sucks
  9. They probably still have an account for you in their CRM with all the communication history. The purpose of B2B CRM platforms isn't to provide an individual login per user, it's to create a private user account so that they can profile, lead nurture and convert you into a paying customer.
  10. This is awesome, guess I won't be buying that plugin I was looking at :s
  11. I know I'm zombie posting here, but this is actually very normal behaviour for B2B products and serious advertising enquiries. Of course they call it a contact form rather than a registration form in those scenarios, but it's essentially doing the same thing and creating an account for you as a lead in their CRM.
  12. Yeah definitely. It just makes sense to do if people care about speed though.
  13. Or just use Unicode standard emojis which most browsers support now...
  14. One of the features I find fantastic with IPS is the support for web push notifications, however the current implementation leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the things I'd love to see are: A proper opt-in (before the browser message is shown) per-message preference, to go alongside emails, basically an updated preference centre The ability to send bulk messages, for example when you release a new article on the site Platform integrations (ie, with OneSignal, Pushwoosh, etc) It's clear that the dev team understand how powerful email can be to drive interaction and traffic into the site, it'd be great if those same controls could be applied to web push notifications.
