Upgrade went smoothly but immediately noted the club images turned into color blobsš¦. Sharing here since this one might be worth a patch, but let me know if you'd like me to create a bug report as well š ļø (whoops, missed @Marco Junior's message)

Show me yours and I'll show you mine...
Mike G. replied to Jimi Wikman's post in a topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionMajor major major props for the way everything is interconnected in version 5. I love the approach to tagging and I have that woven into the core experience at Fan Clubs, but thatās more of a future endeavor. My team at my Notre Dame community have really taken to the Featured Content to highlight posts throughout various threads. If you want to see how weāre using Featured Content, the homepage and topic view will give you two different looks. https://www.domerdomain.com With Notre Dame in the college football championship next week, there will be a lot of new eyes on the site. Iām proud of what Iām able to offer for it. I canāt express my thanks enough for allowing me to be a part of the alpha and beta tests. You all sparked my creative spirit ā¤ļø

Version 5 Icons vs. Version 4 Icons
Mike G. replied to GoGators's post in a topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionI removed the bolded line (font-weight) and I've been going back and forth between 17px and 18px font-size for those icons. For such a minor change, I really like the way it feels. Thanks again for this @Drewfus and @Ehren.

Version 5 Icons vs. Version 4 Icons
Mike G. replied to GoGators's post in a topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionThanks for sharing this, @Drewfus. I love the way those look in dark mode, but it blends in with the background in light mode for me. Does it do the same for you?

Feature Request: Show club cover photos for social shares
When I share a topic from a club, the image that shows in messages and on social is the default share image that I set in the AdminCP. If it's possible, would you consider using the club's cover photo for those topics if there's no image in the thread? Thanks as always!

Mike G. replied to Jimi Wikman's post in a topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionFan Clubs is LinkedIn Official with an official launch date of January 2, 2025. Thank you so much to everyone here, from IC management building this software and creating a culture I hope to replicate, to this community for sharing their experience and advice, as well as the amazing providers for providing critical applications to bring it all together. I appreciate you all so much! š«¶

Beta 9 is now on the table!
Here you go! (make sure you make a backup first) Manual Upgrade Simply login to the client area and download a full package of software, much like you would if doing a fresh install, and unzip the archive to your computer. It will create a folder named "ips_xxxxx" where xxxxx is a random string of characters. Then use an FTP client such as Filezilla and upload the contents of the ips_xxxxx folder (not the folder itself) to your forum main directory, overwriting when prompted and making sure all files transfer without error. You will then go to your site and /admin/upgrade such as example.com/admin/upgrade and login with your AdminCPcredentials. The upgrade system will scan you install to confirm that all files are up to date before proceeding. If it reports any are wrong then be sure you uploaded all files properly.

Create a sidebar menu that can be opened, closed, and pinned.
Mike G. replied to Unicorrrrrn's post in a topic in Invision Community 5: Beta Testing's Beta DiscussionIf this is something that was considered at some point, Iād absolutely be in favor of it. Just for hypothetical funsies, do you any thoughts on how submenus would work in this layout?
