Invision Community 5.0.1 is now available via your Admin Control Panel

This release focuses on bugs reported since the release of 5.0.0 and features many editor and UI improvements. You can see the full list of fixes in our release notes section.

What's next?

This week we'll continue to triage and manage incoming bug reports and we expect to have another maintenance release out next week to ensure that bug fixes are resolved as quickly as possible. If we see anything more pressing, we'll release a patch which can be applied via your Admin Control Panel.

As always, thank you for your testing and reports. It really does help us!

Have you tried this again, in case its just a lot of people updating at a time?

Ah ok, that's just a duplicate query that was in the patch, and also in the full release. You can happily ignore it. 😁

It looks like something is blocking outgoing connections to our update server. You can download the zip and upgrade manually if it persists.

Upgraded.

Same issue here ^^ :) ...

On my test and live site, the update to 5.0.1 was without any issues - everything functions correctly.

We're looking into this.

After upgrading from 5.0.0 to 5.0.1 -> website and ACP will not load at all.

Error_log on ftp shows this:

[11-Feb-2025 12:38:18 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Declaration of IPS\discord\extensions\core\LoginHandler\Discord::userLink(string $identifier, string $username): ?IPS\Http\Url must be compatible with IPS\Login\Handler::userLink(string $identifier, ?string $username): ?IPS\Http\Url in /home/bigdgami/public_html/ipbtest/applications/discord/extensions/core/LoginHandler/Discord.php on line 134

How do I recover from this? Is this going to happen on every 5.x.x update?

You need to ask this question of the author of that discord item

The bug report is still open, the issue has not been resolved yet. We're aiming for 5.0.2 for this.

I get this on my cloud install after a fine upgrade when accessing any page, including admin cp

Welcome to Invision Community 5

Before we can begin, please rename conf_global.dist.php to conf_global.php in /var/www/html/5000052 and ensure it is writable (usually CHMOD 0777).

We're working on it, it should be back up shortly.

How long has the page being stuck there? How big is your forum? And what version are you upgraded from?

OMG, I know whats going on... Just saw looking apache's log... I run out of space in my disk.

Great work from IPS how it can recover from unfinished upgrade. I'm in the upgrade progress again and it's going on.

I see this in v5.0.1 update: #3539: Better iframe allow attribute handling

However, I still cannot embed PDF files and Apple Music share links.

I do not see any changes made to the iframe sandbox allow attribute. It looks the same as before.
