Forums: Q&A mode has been removed in v5.
We are utilizing the v4 platform as a support forum where the Q&A mode has been considered a perfect fit. Sorry to hear that you've decided to discontinue it. We did go through an extensive manual re-configuration phase when upgrading to v4. Now when going for v5, will you provide any kind of automatic conversion tools for turning the Q&A forums into something else, or are we phasing the manual reconfiguration phase again? 😬

Conversion tools missing from 4.7.7 installation package?
Hi all, Our project for upgrading from 3.4.6 just finished and now our self-hosted customer forum is finally running on version 4.6.12. As a final step, we planned to upgrade to the latest (4.7.7 version) and downloaded the latest installer. Unfortunately, we are stuck at the System Check step since it seems that the 4.7.7 installation package is missing all the content which previously was available in the /applications/convert/ folder. We encounter the issue in the attached image. How we should proceed to solve this issue? BTW, I have read all your Release Notes for the versions in between and found nothing which would indicate this change. I also tried finding relevant posts on the forum without success. Please point me in the correct direction if I missed something. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, we figured that the IP is dynamically changing but the IP range should still be fixed. We'll look into how to allow that domain instead but unfortunately it seems way more complex to configure that in our current setup in AWS WAF compared to just allowing an IP range.

Hi, We are configuring new development and staging environments of our forum and since both environments are restricted to only our IPs, we struggle to sign in to Invision Marketplace from the Admin CP. I'm already familiar with the solution in this topic but if possible, I would need to know the IP range used by remoteservices.invisionpower.com. We successfully tried allowing one IP a couple of months ago but changing the setup every time the IP changes is not a long term solution.
