I've managed to resolve the issue of removing the members I don't want and of course, it would have been even better with your assistance.

I evenca And by the way: The system wrote it will delete only about 1.000 members (the spammers) but in fact it was deleting all members.

Thanks I figured that out that what I see is not what I selected ;-). Maybe for you easy to understand, but I can't find the spammer box in the search: So how to select and delete all spammers or all banned members?

I am trying to figure out one more thing: I was searching with the top right field filter "members" -> got all members selecting "spammers" like you see on my screenshot Question: from the system: are you sure it's about 1.000 members... my answer: yes than the system was deleting ALL members, not only spammers -> restore the forum with backup

This was also my first idea, but I have 30.000 members and the process was stopping in the middle of moving so I even had to use my backup to restore the forum.

How to delete all spammers (group) and banned (group) I can choose them: app=core&module=members&controller=members&filter=members_filter_banned&sortby=joined&sortdirection=desc but how toselect and delete them?

If I have a suitable version :). Not to low not to high. Typically, you prefered a more advanced version. I didn't expect such an "old version" ;). As you know 8.1.0. or 8.0x are no longer supported. Now the update was running as usual without any problems which was my goal.

Oh come on. This should be controlled by the updater process. I was running the forum on 8.3 without problems, but update is not possible? BUT good news now: the update was working! Just imagine what this feeling left for me: First security problem in the old install Then Virus warning in your installation files (and you just said don't worry about this) Than running a forum with a security hole and no chance to fix it. Not a good way how to treat customers.

I have the same problems here. No auto update anymore.
