"Show that the message has been edited" option
Hi, Here in our install, the checkbox "Show that the message has been edited" after clicking the Edit button in a post only shows up to administrators, but not for moderators. I wasn't able to locate an option to enable moderators to have this option available. Please advise! Thanks, Gabe.

You are using a custom login handler. This will be automatically disabled when upgrading to v5.
Thanks @Jim M. I've found the culprit. We had installed a custom login method ages ago and have since deleted it, however the records where still present in the database (core_login_handlers. core_login_methods, core_login_links). I've manually deleted these orphan records and now the warning message (You are using a custom login handler. This will be automatically disabled when upgrading to v5) is gone. Thanks.

You are using a custom login handler. This will be automatically disabled when upgrading to v5.
I have a silly question about this. Does "custom login handler" mean a login done with anything different from email+password combo? I ask this as we have Google/Microsoft/Facebook/Linkedin login handlers, but they are not "custom" IMO, as they are part of the core software and not added by an app/plugin. I guess my question is: in v5, we will only have email+password login option or we still have the option to set other login options (Google, Facebook etcetera)? Thanks.

ACP live search: outdated phrase/link
Hi, If I enter "Google Analytics" in the ACP live search, I get as result the "[System] Google Analytics tracking code" link, which no longer exists: Cheers, Gabe.

"Change submission reason" button shouldn't be shown
Hi, With the new 4.7.19 upgrade, a new option is shown at each report: "Change submission reason". See screenshot below. However, we don't have any report type (Reporting Content > Manage Report Types) configured. IMHO, the button "Change submission reason" should only be displayed if we have more than one report type configured. If no report types or if only one report type is set, it makes no sense in displaying this button. Cheers, Gabe.

Missing language strings
Hi! Going to ACP > Customization > emails, I found out that, at least here in our install, several of the email templates are missing their titles, i.e. there are no corresponding language strings for them: emailtpl_notification_account_del_request_rejected emailtpl_notification_pii_data_rejected emailtpl_account_deletion_confirmation emailtpl_loginAfterInactivity emailtpl_acp_notification_PiiDataRequest emailtpl_notification_report_content_author emailtpl_notification_pii_data emailtpl_acp_notification_AccountDeletion emailtpl_notification_report_outcome Cheers! Posts counters to reflect total number of posts in forums list
Hi, The posts counter present in the forums list currently displays the total number of unarchived posts. It would be nice if it would display the total number of posts (unarchived + archived). For example, here in our install, the "Redes e Internet" forum is said to have 130.7k posts. However, I ran a manual query and confirmed that this is the number of unarchived posts. In this particular forum, we have 237,907 archived posts, so we'd rather see 368.6k posts being listed, as it is the correct amound of posts available in that particular forum, rather than the number of unarchived posts. Since we are online 20+ years now, we have more archived than unarchieved posts, and our users are asking why the numbers listed in the forums list are shrinking instead of growing. Thank you in advance. Cheers, Gabe.

"Found 0 results" in ModCP Hidden Content
@Adriano Faria Your fix doesn't work as expected... I get "25 results", which is the number of items per page and not the total number of items.

"Found 0 results" in ModCP Hidden Content
Hi, If I go to [url]/modcp/content/ to see the list of hidden contents, the platform displays "Found 0 results" even though there are 16 pages of hidden contents. See the screenshot below. Can someone check this on their install to see whether this is a core bug or a problem specific with our install? Thanks.

Polyfill security risk
Thanks @teraßyte. I did the same thing here, with the same result. As we have advertisements through Google AdSense and similar partners, that domain is probably being called by an ad. I am still investigating this further.

How to remove Commerce from my plan?
Hi, Our license renewal is coming, and as we are no longer using Commerce, I wonder how we could remove it from our plan, so we wouldn't need to pay for its renewal. I couldn't find an option for doing that in the Client Area and my current plan doesn't allow email support. Thank you in advance, Gabe.

Small typos in phrases
promote_confirm_delete_desc Deleting will not remove the original content item, or remove it from externally shared services such as Twitter. It will be removed from the 'Our Picks' list. Mentions "Twitter". I believe the correct form would be: Deleting will not remove the original content item, or remove it from externally shared services such as Facebook and X. It will be removed from the 'Our Picks' list.

Google/gmail feedback loop
Hi, One important addition to the platform would be to add support for gmail's feedback loop, so we could easily identify which emails are being marked as spam by our users. Currently, our email server is with a low reputation on Gmail's Postmaster Tools, as many users are marking our transactional emails as spam insteading of unsubscribing from the topics they are following, for example. It would be nice to see exactly the kind of emails that the users are marking as spam, so we can improve our server's reputation and deliverability. More info: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/6254652 Thanks.

Possible bug: comment in article when topic is archived
@Marc Stridgen Just a quick follow-up to this issue. I tried unarchiving the comment topic (Link #2) and the posts that were there are now gone (the original automated message and another comment), and only the new comment is was displayed: Searching directly in the database, there were no other posts associated with topic_id 465934, either in the forums_posts and the archive_forums_posts tables. mysql> SELECT archive_id FROM forums_archive_posts WHERE archive_topic_id='465934'; Empty set (0.00 sec) mysql> SELECT pid FROM forums_posts WHERE topic_id='465934'; +---------+ | pid | +---------+ | 8652322 | +---------+ 1 row in set (0.00 sec) (pid 8652322 is the new post) AFAIK the old posts were deleted with the unarchiving process. Note: I fixed this manually, but the comments are gone. Thanks.

Possible bug: comment in article when topic is archived
Hi, We have archiving enabled. We have an articles database where comments are set to be stored as a topic in a forum. Today, a user was able to create a new comment in an old article, where its comment topic was archived. Because the topic is archived, the new comment isn't displayed, but it is stored in the database. See: https://www.clubedohardware.com.br/noticias/energia/microsol-lança-no-break-ps800-r46573/ https://www.clubedohardware.com.br/forums/topic/465934-microsol-lança-no-break-ps800/ The comment/post is displayed at the user's profile activity stream: The post is shown in the latest post section from the forums list: Also note that in the article (first link above), no comments are displayed, even though there is one old comment available (see second link above). So I believe that there are two bugs here: 1. It shouldn't be allowed to add a comment to an article if its comment topic is archived 2. Comments made before the topic was archived should be displayed. Thanks.

Clean up task for account deletion requests
Hi, My suggestions is for you to to add a cleanup task to automatically delete "pending confirmation" (delete_account_validation) requests after a few days. IMHO these should be automatically deleted after 24 hours. Otherwise we will end up with the core_member_privacy_actions table full of unecessary data (a.k.a. garbage) after just a few months. Thanks, Gabe.
