Whatever the case, IPB 4 better have "Bump me Up" as a built-in feature.

I've been asking for "Bump me up" to be a standard feature since 2002. (that's like 6+ years now)

I'll say right now, while "proper database design theory" calls for no comma-separated strings, in reality it's not always easy or the most efficient way. While we recognize that some areas of the database design can *always* be improved, I'll state right now that it's not likely IPB3 will have no comma-separated strings in the database.

I never thought I'd be using them, but I went over them and now I use them all the time. It has become a habit. Sometimes, when I'm on my Hotmail or IPB PM Inbox, I accidentally press 'c' and nothing happens lol.

Also, Gmail recently made this hotkey thing that'll help IPB users select multiple PMs... click the first one, press SHIFT, click another one, and then every PM in-between will get selected. :D

It'd be nice if queries run in the ACP get logged (saved) and displayed in a <select> so I won't have to keep copy-pasting between Firefox and Notepad!

Did IPB 1 have that? I know the old invisionfree board I ran has a bump topic feature.

I don't remember. All I remember is that I used OpenBB briefly before IPB and when I found IPB it was PERFECT except the bumping was a problem with people replying "Bump" for like 8 pages in a thread making it difficult to find actual posts. (so we had to install the 'bump me up' modification eventually) ... and now after every update, that's one thing that breaks the forum and requires updating.

I want to be able to press the 'Z' key to go the next reply (so, scroll down to the next reply) ... and the 'X' key to go to the next topic (next newest).

Obstacle I see: if you quick-edit a post, or you quick-reply, then it might go to the next topic, post, etc.
