I'm also vbulletin customer (soon to be EX). Walking into IPBoard's world will end up costing me more money to start but I need to trust the vendor; and I do give everyone a chance. Since I do not trust the current vendor anymore, I decided to leave. I'm giving IPBoard serious consideration.
I was worrying about..
1. Transition from vBulletin to IPBoard
2. Future licensing terms
3. Extras such as blog, CMS, gallery, etc
Well what do you know? One simple thread answers it ALL. It took me 8 minutes of my time to get all the answers.
I'll be playing with IPBoard demo tonight.
Thanks for this thread and a warm welcome kind of feeling that comes with it.
If the demo match my expectation (so far so good), I'm sure I'll become one of your customers soon.
1 - Pretty easy. You can do it yourself with the free converter (http://www.invisionp...ard/convert.php) or buy a conversion from IPS. They will do everything for you.
2 - No problem here. Seriously. IPS ALWAYS honor their licenses (past, present and future).

With canned replies, I mean standard reply texts, that you can insert into posts, PM, etc.
Regarding wiki; I currently use a native wiki system: i.e. wiki articles in posts. Its an important part of my site.

Yes. You can continue to run your board normally. Then, if you want to get technical support, services and download the latest version, just pay the $25,00 fee to renew your license.
