How would 4.7 clients that have a physical store, be able to retain having an in-house solution with V5? Is Shopify fully integrated, would someone be able to sell physical items there, and will the store be on the domain which IPS is located?

Perhaps the way forward is to simply find someone who will upgrade the plugin and fix the issue? If anyone is planning to jump to v5 upon it's release it could be worth waiting for this: https://www.invisioneer.org/files/file/441-discord-integration/ @Jon Erickson has mentioned that it could be made available for 4.7, but I might be one of few people who actually will be hoping this might happen. I won't be moving to v5 until much later in time.

I asked BromAle to look into this awhile back, it never worked out. It's something that should be able to be done as standard for v5.

@Adriano Faria: On my laptop I see all the pictures on your site, although none show on either of my mobiles when visiting.

Is InnoDB recommended over MyISAM, for v4.7?

Prior to the release of 4.1.19, and the maintenance task which that resolved, I experienced an issue where Redis failed. It just seems to always fail, and whereas previous versions wouldn't allow the configuration to proceed if it wasn't correct. Now I can type anything and I can proceed to downloading a new constraints file. I have spoken to a friend who helps me with my server, he suggested trying "/home/domain/.redis/redis.sock" (domain is my site's root folder - I changed that). Along with the IP address which previously worked. http://127.0.0.1/ Port: 6379 I don't see why all of a sudden it's failing to connect or work.

This is awesome. I appreciate that 4.7 isn't being left behind with the looming release of v5 (albeit in beta form currently). The reporting system needs this update to function properly and reach its full potential. I only recently learned that people who report things don't actually see any of the responses from a team member. I always assumed when a mod replied, the member who reported would learn the outcome. This is why I am thankful, although had I known about the mod Terabyte mentioned he might have got more custom from me. 🙂

Yes, I do. That's very useful to know, thanks Randy. Thanks, Jim. I did check the maximum storage for each submission, and I believe the user did mention that they have space. It must be CloudFlare.

I am being told by a member who uses an iPad and iPhone (unsure which versions yet) - that they can't upload images due to the file size being too big. I have checked the group settings he is in, and I don't see why this would be happening. I have been able to upload photos from my Android device, without any issues, using a dummy account on my dev site and I have asked others on my live site to assist. They have all been able to post images directly from their handsets. The same user, says he doesn't see images which I upload to IMGUR, I don't see any reason for this. I would appreciate advice, as I am unsure if I am doing something wrong, or they are bugs related to IOS.

Yes. It hasn't happened this time round.

I don't know if it's been reported, I have looked and searched but the issue is quite strange. It reminds if the time the guest message about the cookies showed, even if you signed in - it never seemed like you were. If I goto the forums index, I get greeted by the guest message. I sign in, I'm redirected to the homepage. I look back on the forum's index, I see guest stuff. However, I noticed I am actually signed in everywhere else and, I'm able to post this. I should have made it clear, I'm referring to the IPS site.

Are we allowed to test v5 even with a dev site of v4.7? It would allow me to see what changes and things would be required, as at the moment I don't plan to upgrade for a while. I would like to see v5, to see how it reflects personally.

uploading a fresh set of files worked perfectly for me, if you are still having issues, it would be a wise step to take.

Same here, I still can't connect to Redis. I'll share, once I can get on my laptop. 😞

Redis was working before this patch, now I can't get it to connect. I get an error after trying to set it up, so I am not sure what is going on. To be able to get the update, I had to remove the Redis stuff from my constraints.php file.

For a while, I thought you could only have one default image for the social meta image when sharing a discussion on Facebook or X.com. I have noticed that you can now have multiple images, but I am curious how this works? I know back in the day, Facebook used to allow you to toggle which image was used, but I have never had this with IPS. I haven't seen an option for changing which image is used, so I am curious about this. If you have multiple "Default share images" how does social media know which one to use?

To be honest, I think this does the trick. It's very convenient! I don't know if @Joel R, would prefer additional features but this would do what I want rather nicely.
