  • Make new custom template does not work proper

Go to the AdminCP and try make new template.

Create a new database and try to assign it to a custom template.
After this procedure, create a styles document and try to assign it to your new page.
The .CSS file simply does not load, however, if you use the theme editor and add your custom CSS through it you will get the desired result (For CSS styling) but I believe this is not the desired behavior.

Another important point is related to the created templates mentioned in the previous steps.
After creating a custom template & assigning it to your new page, try to edit it.

The changes simply do not work, but if you edit the global template you will see the changes taking effect.
In other words, the theme is not loading custom templates.

My template and CSS is here:

    Could contain: Page, Text, File

    My database display settings:

    Could contain: Page, Text

    My result page:

Could contain: File, Webpage, Page, Text

PS: The full template has been edited but the system does not load anything code at the template custom, because the theme load the recod template and anothers of Default template.

Is there a description of the statuses somewhere? What exactly is the status moved to GitHub?

It’s IPS private tracker and where they manage code. Customers don’t have access to it.

    I can't reproduce this.

I created a custom template and assigned it to a database. When I view the database, I see my changes.

I created a custom CSS and assigned it to a page. When I view the page, I see the styling.

    • Your first screenshot shows a list of HTML templates but it shows a CSS file. I assume the CSS is actually in the CSS tab?
    • Your first screenshot also shows CSS changes but it's hard to tell what's happening here because I don't see the modified templates.

Can you download your templates and post them here so I can review?

    @Esther E.

Try adding a database by following the creation guide in the update notes.

    You guys made it available!

I followed it step by step, without 100% ready documentation for us the process becomes a little more difficult.

However (I wasn't the only one to have this problem)

Here no matter what change I make to the template the change is not carried out.

And what is the style change you see on my page? It's original!

    Try make this !

The link you posted is dated 2015.

Please can you export your database and templates so that I can try to see what's going on?

It's probably easier to update your ACP/FTP details in your client centre and we can take a look on your site. Let us know when it's been updated.

    On beta 4 work now.

    Could contain: File, Webpage, Text

But I need ready a documentation because the front-end class on V5 is very different from the past.

Documentation will be a way down the line yet. We need to concentrate on the product itself first 🙂
