  • [Beta 1] Post Editor: 'Left Wrap' Image Doesn't Work Correctly on Mobile

I have a Guest Signup Widget and am using a left-wrap aligned image to neatly position text around a welcoming image.

Could contain: File, Computer, Electronics, Pc, Page, Text, Webpage, Computer Hardware, Monitor, Screen

Testing it on mobile, the text does not wrap around the image as expected:

Could contain: File, Baby, Person, Face, Head

There's no margin/padding between the image and the text, and the whole paragraph jumps underneath the image after the first line instead of continuing around the image as it should do.

Please note, we just released beta 2 🙂 Please test on that release first of all

I noticed Matt launched B2 literally as I made this topic. 😅 I will test on Beta 2 once all appears to be well and good (there's chatter about Page Editor blocks going missing or something).

There is indeed a patch incoming for that

Well, it seems that it is not affecting my Beta 2 instance anyway 🙂

Can confirm this issue is also present in Beta 2.

    Sorry, I meant this:

is not an issue with my Beta 2 instance (that was preventing me from actually exploring my upgraded community, I was a bit afraid it would impact me too).

But the issue this topic is about (Text wrap around an image) is still present in Beta 2 after I have checked it again.

Im not able to replicate this one. If you remove it, then re-add it, do you have the same issue? I ask as Im wondering if its cached from prior to you changing the wrap

Removed block, cleared browser cache, re-added block, reloaded page. The issue persists I'm afraid.

On desktop I'm using Chrome 129.0.6668.72 (Official Build) (arm64) on macOS 15.0. On mobile I'm on Safari on iOS 18.0.1.

Have you checked this on another theme at all? Sorry for all the questions, but its just not happening this end

I just checked on an untouched stock theme and it's still an issue. Happy to offer access to my test instance if someone wants to take a closer look at it.

Hi Ehren, the issue is happening on the homepage of my test instance (you should have access to this via the DM I sent you recently about the other issue).

This is still occurring in BETA 3.

If it helps, I have captured a recording of this issue occurring in real time, swapping between a signed-in instance and a mobile-view private browser instance. There is also a random issue I've found where the floating dialog box to insert an existing image appears out of bounds of the browser window (you can see this happen in the video below at 0:40)...

Thanks, I see the cause. Floated elements aren't fun to style 😬

I'll see if we can come up with a solution.
