There is no way in which to remove the default emoji panel at the present time. This has been suggested in a a few areas though

Very strange - we can delete forum with 1000 topics and posts with one click but can not delete default emojis 😀❓😒

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

Version 5 is a new product, with a new editor, and new emoji panel. There wasnt anything removed

This would be very helpful as we've added only the ones we want over the years. Now there are 500 of them listed before ours.
