still no avif support in 2025 in invision community, only jpg and webp available 🙄👎

AVIF support is available in the new 5.0.0 version released a few days ago.

then i have different 5.0.0 🤔

and as you can see, all uploaded avif files here are shown as files for download, not embedded images

 

The server side software also needs to have support for AVIF (GD or ImageMagick). If your chosen library has support, you'll be able to use AVIF.

What he said. I guilted them into including avif support during the secret dev preview by "composing" a story involving IPS, avif support, and dysentery.

I'm not making that up.

BTW, careful with animated webp. GD wants nothing to do with those.
