Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted April 4, 2024Apr 4 Hello 🙂 Do you know where I can modify the limitation value in red, at the bottom right of the below image ? Thank you :)
April 4, 2024Apr 4 This is not something in which can be amended without modification to the core platform.
April 20, 2024Apr 20 Author Is this something which will be improved in the future versions ? I've just written a new article in Pages and it's impossible to promote it :
April 20, 2024Apr 20 That field is for Snippet or 'teaser', you're not supposed to put the entire article in there.
April 20, 2024Apr 20 Just delete or remove enough characters, and then you will be able to post. You are able to edit or type in that box. This happens to me all of the time. I either truncate the content or override all of the content with my own quick summary.
April 21, 2024Apr 21 On an additional note, I should add that IPS designed Our Picks / Promotion to be used in a very particular way. Our Picks / Promotion is not meant to be an automated promotion or an RSS feed or a widget of all latest content. We have those already! It's meant to be human curated, which means human selection of content and human-written content. IPS includes the original content as a source of reference. And the actual snippet used in the promotion is designed for you to human summarize the linked content.
April 21, 2024Apr 21 @Joel R In the past it was also more useful because you could post things to FB or Twitter (X), but both are not an option anymore now. The FB option was removed ages ago, and Twitter has been broken for months, too. 🤷♂️
April 21, 2024Apr 21 It still ties into the Our Picks widget, Our Picks page, and Our Picks on emails. There is no more social media promotion, but there is a lot tied to the community outreach.
