Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
chopin Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 (edited) After a certain date, it seems that the attachment downloads link stopped working at some point. If you take a look here, you will see what I mean: Gadget PDF: June 20, 2021 (works!) Piano Sonatina in D.pdf: July 16, 2021 (does not work) I'm unsure what is going on here, but it does seem like an update of some sort broke the download links. Do you think this is something that could be fixed in a new update? Edited July 30, 2022 by chopin
Jim M Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 This looks to be a modification that you are able to view other individuals' attachments. Please contact the author of this modification for assistance if there are any issues accessing items from it. If you have examples of missing attachments from content in the core system, please provide links to the content.
Solution teraßyte Posted July 30, 2022 Solution Posted July 30, 2022 That's the standard download attachment link, but newer ones usually have a security key in them. Are the ones you can't download all uploaded after a certain date perhaps? If so, it may be because the security key is missing from the download link that you're getting the error. But as Jim M said, that's a custom modification so you should contact whoever made it for you. If they're not available anymore you can look at the Providers list to find a new developer to take a look at it for you: SeNioR- 1
Nathan Explosion Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 If it is this then I think I have a fix for that somewhere
chopin Posted July 31, 2022 Author Posted July 31, 2022 Ahh, ok I see the problem. Thank you for the tips, I was able to resolve by using the security key field in the core attachments table.
Marc Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Glad to see you managed to get that issue resolved 🙂
