Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
usmf Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 This isn't really need for support, but it's a question for the Invision team. 🙂 A member on our forum just asked this, and I realize that none of the Admin team knows the answer. When users upload photos or documents into posts, are they scanned for viruses? Is there any sort of file scanning going on in IPS? Thanks in advance!
Mopar1973Man Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 At least on my server the uploads are scan by anti-virus software nightly for virus or malware. I'm not hosted on their cloud setup but on a VPS server I manage myself. usmf 1
usmf Posted July 10, 2022 Author Posted July 10, 2022 We are not hosted on their cloud either . . . it's a hosting company. Should I ask them or would this be more likely to be a feature in the IPS?
Nathan Explosion Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 Ask your host, there is no such feature in the software.
Solution Jim M Posted July 10, 2022 Solution Posted July 10, 2022 This would not be in the software but a hosting support question. SeNioR- and usmf 1 1
