Howard L Martinez Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 hello, i want to give discount on this Halloween to my customer i see discount code creating option in products but didn't see in subscription . so how i give subscriber a code for discount when they are subscribing for vip membership . i want to give them 25% discount in these days
Solution flashpoint Posted October 23, 2021 Solution Posted October 23, 2021 No restriction will work on subscriptions. I don't think there is a way to limit the coupons just for subs though. You could alternatively make a "Normal Product" expireable and then it can change members into a secondary group as well and then you can limit the coupons for those products. SeNioR- 1
Marc Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 In order to do this you would need to be using a renewable product rather than the subscriptions system, as there is no way in which to restrict the code from being used only for a specific subscription, as mentioned above
Howard L Martinez Posted October 25, 2021 Author Posted October 25, 2021 @Marc Stridgen my subscriptions are renewable . so their is no way to give discount code to those who want to buy vip membership subscription

Only if you use a normal product
Adam Goodrich Posted December 18, 2021 Posted December 18, 2021 Why are we not able to apply vouchers / coupons to subscriptions ? I want to drive my existing customer base to subscribe by offering them a time limited incentive... Am i missing something ? AlexWebsites 1

Because subscriptions are intentionally a cut down simpler version of a renewable product. If you wish to use these kinds of things, you would use a renewable product

If you wish to use these kinds of things, you would use a renewable product Thanks Marc. It was not clear to me when I was setting this up that it was cut down. I did spend some time investigating the product renewal system instead. One thing that I was not sure of is, can product's auto renew without input? From reading the product pages themselves it appeared that we would have to get the user to manually renew / confirm every month.
Marc Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 The renewal itself works in the same manner as subscriptions. Adam Goodrich 1

You just can't target a specific subscription like you do a product, just reduce the total amount. Marc 1
