I am looking for a way to prevent a specific member from buying anymore downloads while also maintaining access to stuff he has already paid for in the downloads marketplace.

What does this button do?

Never mind, I see. That button, It just refunds everything but doesn't block them from making NEW purchases.

There should really be a way to stop doing business with a specific member.

For now I fixed by hard coding. I ended up wrapping the checkout in this

Put the member in a group that can’t purchase. That’s all you can do.

There is no group setting for that in the ACP.

He's spent a lot of money so I can't cut off his access to stuff he already paid for.

I just don't want him buying new stuff.

The hard coding works for now I guess.

If I start wanting to add multiple members to this block list the hard coding is going to get pretty tricky.

• Suspicious purchasing patterns are scary. Risk of fraud and charge backs are high in these cases. Not worth it. Dude spent 500% more than most people in a short amount of time. (slow it down buddy)
• Left like 20 one star negative reviews in a single hour. If you hate everything you're buying ...let me help you stop buying it.

There kinda is and may be y our best option. I agree, anyone who has given that many low stars doesn't need to keep going on. What you can do is create a new group that doesn't allow downloads and cut their download capability all together, refund their purchase money. Not sure what you are selling here or at what price, but may be your best option you can afford to that. Other wise, your option with the code you created will have to do unless someone makes a plugin for you or you do that yourself. Good luck. Sounds like you have someone that part of the tough crowd to please.

Remove their access to the store (through permissions) but still give them access to billing and purchases. This should remove their access to purchase (they won't be able to see products) but they should still be able to access their previous purchases.
