Help needed with bulk mail

I've had my forums for years but rarely if ever have used the bulk mail option.

The reason is that I think I lost the template that comes with the forum software or something as the emails I send out just aren't responsive.

The images I include stretch way beyond the viewable window of the device the reader is using.

The text is also too small to read if I do include an image.

So basically I guess I'm asking did the forum software come with a basic default mail template to use that is a responsive one?

ps - this issue with images also applies to all outgoing emails not just bulk emails - the same issue is in notification emails and daily digest emails if they contain any images posted on the forums?

Hope you can help as I really need to use the bulk email but don't want to send out any non-responsive emails to members
