Limits on characters for posts.

I see Maximum title length for title, under Posting settings, but is it possible to limit character count on posts?

Maybe a plugin. And also would like character count, at the bottom of the posting window.

The idea is to have a twitter like notice at the bottom where you are getting up to a certain number.

1. i need to know if you can limit character count.

2. would like a plugin that shows character count.
