Database pages display

I have created a database for Tutorials which has categories and sub categories and need help to adjust the display of 2 components.

1. The Category menu block contains only the first 4 sub categories under a main category however I need the block to display ALL the sub categories:

2. On a main category page it displays all the sub categories, their title and their description. I need it to just display the sub category titles and not the descriptions as the descriptions for me needs to be long and are contained at the top of the sub category page anyway.

Any advise on how to achieve these 2 I would be very grateful...thanks

Ok, I have fixed the first one by edited the category widget but can't find the template to change for #2 above
