Allen Bradford Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 How can a Board Member (or admin or mod for that matter) delete old Notifications or can they? I understand there are Notification Settings but can't see any way to prune old or all Notifications. Thanks in advance.
Cyboman Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 There used to be a free 'clear notifications' plugin in the IPS marketplace.
Stuart Silvester Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Notifications are automatically pruned according to the admin configured setting (3 days by default). You can change this in AdminCP > Members > Member Settings > Notifications > Notification Settings.
Allen Bradford Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 Stuart, Ive gone to the Members Notification settings in AdminCP and the following field appears: "Removed stored Notifications" only has months as an option in that field. Am I missing something?

I suspect that Stuart is basing the 'default' on IPS 4.4, as IPS 4.3 and earlier have the setting as a month value with a default of 3: IPS 4.4 beta has the setting as a day or week value:
Mark H Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Yes, the upcoming version 4.4 has the option for days (as well as weeks).
Allen Bradford Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 OK, good to know. I'll have to wait, and will notify Members who have asked. Thanks for the prompt responses. I do wish that when viewing all Notifications, that you/Members could click a box next to the ones you want deleted, and delete them.
