About This File

This plugin will allow users (from selected groups) to ignore forums. Ignored forums won't have their topics appearing in Activity Streams or Search Results, depending on the settings. Admin can also decide if wants to hide the ignored forum; this will remove it from viewing but the forum is still acessible via URL or inAccount Settings -> Ignored Forums.

It wasn't doing that but now it is. I just added it. The only "weird" thing is the ignored forum view: No topic will show up as I removed them from the items with permission to view. Topics

Btw, what about topic feed widgets, are the settings respected there as well?

No topic will show up as I removed them from the items with permission to view. Topics will appear if the user stop ignoring this forum by clicking in the black button or via Account Settings.

The yellow topics are from other forums.

Hi there, no. It's a user feature. User will be able to ignore specific forums in their Account Settings. Admin can "protect" forums, so user will not be able to ignore them.

Oh.  I really need to be able to mark a forum as "ignored" and then allow the users to decide if they want to see it in their activity streams or not.

Works ok on 4.6 but on mobile view it would be great if the ignore forum button was below the start topic, as it sort of breaks the responsive width

This is still happening at the moment.

The best way to be notified is to enable the settings below on each marketplace resource. Soon after they are approved you will receive an email notification.

Could contain: Page, Text

Have upgraded finally to IPS 4.7.4 and then to 1.07 of Ignore Forums.

The upgrade seemed to complete,

Could contain: Text

however the Red Ignore Forum button is not there

Could contain: File, Page, Text, Webpage

config with only one forum that can not be ignored

Could contain: Page, Text, File

I am a CiC account and yes, latest versions of all ... The results are the same with the Standard theme.  I also have an issue noted in the Ignore Topics fourm where the same answers apply.  As noted there, I'll PM the admin account.

We're not seeing the ignore button here either (using cic), and tested on the default theme.

It was fine before, but honestly I just noticed it stopped showing, so don't know when it last worked. Sorry!

Is the plugin compatible with the Unread Content Counter?

So if I turn off forum x, and in forum x come 10 new content, is the counter then triggered or does it also ignore this?

No. Same for both apps: Ignore Forums and Topics., basically because this is not a Forums resource. It’s a suite wide resource.
