Form Description Field Inconsistencies

Would it be possible if the suite could use Textarea's for Descriptions rather than textboxes in Forms?

For example. in CMS, the Database Form uses a Textarea field and keeps the formatting. Yet, the Database Category Form uses a 'Textbox' field and strips formatting (in some cases Textarea boxes will remove the formatting and breaks).

I would like to be able to add descriptions to many other area's of the suite in the same way I can with Forums, ie, more than one line, with formatting and breaks ?
