Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
senators24 Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 I believe there are bots trying to upload things into my downloads section. I get about 30 of the below emails sent to me daily and it's starting to get annoying. How can I disable email alerts for this triggered error? #3D286/1 You are not allowed to upload files to this category. Error triggered by: Guest (IP ADDRESS) 06/09/2018 in Downloads
evandixon Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 I think it's a bug in the default theme. The submit file button is visible to everyone who can upload a file in any category, and clicking it gives the user this error. I opened a low priority ticket earlier for today after identifying what I think is the culprit. I'd post it here, but it's not showing in the client area (since it's low priority I guess).
senators24 Posted June 9, 2018 Author Posted June 9, 2018 That's another weird thing. Guests don't have access to upload anywhere, and I see no submit file buttons anywhere throughout my site, yet somehow they're being triggered through the URL. For example in an error log the URL triggered was "/index.php?/files/submit/&do=submit&category=14" yet there is no visible button for guests on the site. Since you've already got an open ticket, let me know what support says.
