Cancel items for more types of items in IPS

I'm really rather surprised at how many things in IPS don't have cancel buttons (either an actual cancel button or an X in the top-right for pop-over items). Posting new topics does have a cancel button but many other things don't. For example, if you go to set up security features and select one and then decide you don't want to set it up right now, you have to hit the back button in your browser, there's no cancel. No cancel buttons in these other locations as well:

Editing page content, Creating blog entries, Creating events, editing notification list settings, and several items in the ACP.

There are probably others I'm forgetting.

It would be nice if there was a way to cancel any action or task without having to use your browser's back button.
