Hiding a forum and its posts from fluid view?

So I have a forum on my site full of RSS posts/threads that is updated almost by the minute and I still want this forum and its topics to be accessible for those who know the links (ie. via google who sign up to reply to them) so need them hidden - but, I dont want the RSS topics flooding my topic list in fluid view for members.

So I thought this would just be a case of unticking the 'see forum' checkboxes in the forum/usergroup permissions for logged in members but the forum and its automated topics still show up in the fluid topic listings 

I know users can manually tick all the forums in the filter and leave that forum unticked, but is there a way I can do this by default? I really love fluid view, I don't want to give it up because of this  Thanks
