Plugin to limit the amount of images in a thread

Problem: posts containing many images can be annoying to scroll, especially on mobile. Unfortunately, my community is from the kind that many images are posted, often in a single post with little text. 

My request: A plugin that can hide in a spoiler tag all images after 3rd consecutive image without any text in between. Basically if we have something like this:

I want to turn it in to:

Per user settings: 
- A toggle to turn the plugin on/off
- A toggle to select if the plugin is active only on mobile or including desktop
Optional: After which consecutive image, the rest should be hidden. So instead of hardcoding the number 3, the user can select 1,5 or whatever.
