Forcing Steam Authentication On Registration/Logins

Hello,

I've been hosting my community with these forums for about a week now and I'd like to know if there's any way to force log-in people with Steam or some kind of authentication method. I am well aware that we can use plug-ins/applications or add-ons like this Lavo's Steam Authentication option but I'd like to know if there's any way to enforce it. As of right now in log-in handlers, the default one for IPB is locked and set to default so there's no way from my understanding to edit it.

If anyone has any clue or has experimented with this, I'd be more than pleased to read your response.
