thumbnails in downloads widget are actually giant background

I added a couple of the downloads widgets to my site home page and it brought my server to it's knees.

Turns out those little thumbnails are actually full sized images. Whats worse is my users like to upload animated gifs.

The animated gifs help their screen shots look more appealing and bring them more sales.

The bad news is my home page using the downloads widgets was 60MBs!!!!!

I removed the widgets which I wish I didn't have to, but I don't have much of a choice.

Although, my downloads files page is still hard to load. ugh .. this is not going well for me.

Wish these would resize and optimize.
