Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
January 4, 20178 yr Hello, I was looking at this and I like how it is. I just wanted to know, would it be possible to display only certain groups in the who to follow block? Like If I only want staff members or X groups to show up there rather than all members? Or can this be implemented in the future.

This will most likely cover all of your questions, as I wanted to focus on active members who are present (rather than recommending people follow those who have never posted). It's a brilliant community addition.
January 5, 20178 yr Author Hello, Hello, I was looking at this and I like how it is. I just wanted to know, would it be possible to display only certain groups in the who to follow block? Like If I only want staff members or X groups to show up there rather than all members? Or can this be implemented in the future. I can add filter "Show members from selected groups" as I wanted to focus on active members who are present (rather than recommending people follow those who have never posted) What this filter will be based? Is there a forum where I can see this being used? The widget is shown only to registered users. So if someone share the link you will need to register.
January 5, 20178 yr What this filter will be based? I'll throw these out as suggestions. Last logged in (users who have logged in during the last x days) Last posted (users who have posted within the last x days) Post count (recommend users who have posted x times) Any other suggestions anyone?
January 5, 20178 yr Any other suggestions anyone? Just spotted this and going to buy the plugin now What would be great is we have a verifed members group and it would be great to restrict the option to follow only members of certain groups This would then hopefully make members join that group in order to get more followers Is that doable?
January 5, 20178 yr Hi, I have just bought this great plugin and installed it It looks though slighly out of line when adding it here http://www.walkingfootball.com/chat/ the who to follow text and line under is lower than the forum text Walking football forums and line Is this a plugin or theme issue as it would be nice for them to line up if possible? BTW I think you will sell alot of this plugin - well done
January 6, 20178 yr Author Hello, It looks though slighly out of line when adding it here http://www.walkingfootball.com/chat/ I can't see a widget as guest. This would then hopefully make members join that group in order to get more followers Should we hide block on profile and disable followers page also?
January 6, 20178 yr Hi, We have taken off the widget for the moment Should we hide block on profile and disable followers page also? Don't know to be honest as have not got it running yet
January 6, 20178 yr Author Hello, We have taken off the widget for the moment The widget is shown only to registered/logged users. Guests can't follow users.

January 9, 20178 yr Author Hello, I have uploaded new version v1.0.1 and it does not have any of those new settings It's widget settings (configuration). On frontend click on an arrow "Manage Blocks". Find a widget "(NB41) Who To Follow". Drag and drop a widget on sidebar. Click on Edit button.
January 9, 20178 yr OK opps got it Any chance of lining up the widget so it shows in line with the text and line above the forums?
January 10, 20178 yr Author Any chance of lining up the widget so it shows in line with the text and line above the forums? Not sure what you mean.
January 12, 20178 yr look here and your widget text and line under text doesn't line up to the main page content http://www.walkingfootball.com/chat/ where can we adjust to keep everything in sync Sorry it's the OCD in me lol
January 13, 20178 yr Author look here and your widget text and line under text doesn't line up to the main page content http://www.walkingfootball.com/chat/ Repeat "The widget is shown only to registered/logged users. Guests can't follow users." Please create a temporary user.
January 15, 20178 yr I would find the who to follow suggestions more useful if there were an option to allow only users who have posted attachments. Can that be added to the list of edit options? More specifically option to only suggest users who have posted attachments. (this would be awesome) another option of "has avatar" (user profile pic) would be good so the list would appear to only suggest active members.
