We use Zapier which saves us a lot of development time and costs.

Just to mention. I have not found a trigger for "when a CMS record is published". Everything can be prepared in Pages: topics, posts, events, blog entries, files, gallery images, members, comments, reviews etc. If there were a trigger to create another item when the record is published, then this would solve this topic as well. This way we could schedule anything just by creating records in hidden databases and setting a future published date.

Unfortunately, it is not possible with Zapier. I have ended up writing a custom app to accomplish it.

  • I have brought this up internally for further review, I can't promise anything at this point, but it's being considered for a future version.  Thank you for all of your feedback on this item.

Very important feature! Would save us a lot of work! We would have a lot of creative possibilities that don't work now.

Dear IPS team, I would celebrate if you could do it! 🥳

I just want to add my name to the list. I would like to see this feature happen. The ability to schedule forum posts would be really nice.

This ability to schedule a future publish date for Topics was actually added sometime over the last year or so.

Oh shoot, that’s awesome really great news. How do I turn it on for my users?

Choose their groups in the application settings and they will be able to schedule posts or comments.

That’s what the application I linked does.

No and it won’t as it is dead.

It’s not dead for me. In fact, it’s the most important thing on my site. It’s the main structure of my homepage.

I have no interest in add this. Sorry.
