How long does it take for an Upcoming Calender Event to post or show up in the sidebar/block if enabled? Im sure there is a time lapse, but it's been well over an hour since I created a couple Calendar Events and they aren't showing up. Assuming there isn't a glitch and they do post, what is the mechanism that creates this delay and how can an Admin speed up the process if possible?

4 hours and counting and still no Upcoming Events showing in block/sidebar....

After 10 hours the Calendar Events showed up in Upcoming Events Block. Still don't know why so long a delay.

I'll just talk to myself since it may be helpful to others. Support directed me to System>Advanced Configuration, and the Cache time for Blocks etc. Mine was at the default setting of 300 seconds or 5 minutes. That doesn't make much sense since it took 10 hours for Upcoming Events to recache and post to block....I don't think.

Support tells me the Calendar events widget is set for 12 hours for new events to recache and show in Upcoming Events Block, even though there is a cache time field in AdminCP. They are discussing this internally now about why that is and if it should be changed.
