Working on topics / posts data

I want to give a service to my community and that services relies heavily on working with the topics/posts. Menaing

• Need to manipulate data and export them in EXCEL and/or PDF e.t.c with custom formatting e.t.c
• Need to provide reporting on the topics and posts based on custom logic.

I am thinking of using Wordpress or a Laravel app in parallel to my IPB instance using maybe the API...

Question to you guys: Is there any way i can do that with ease WITHIN IPB framework?
