"Bypass Moderation" permission?

I would like to allow users in certain group(s) to post in certain section(s) without needing to be moderated. Could you add an option/permission to allow for this?

I believe that setting is already available inside the group configuration form.

Thats a global setting, not a section-specific one.

Here is a simple automation rule that will accomplish what you want to do. All you need to do is edit the condition for the member groups and the condition for the forums once you have imported it.

Rule: Automatically publish moderated content based on groups/forums

• Event: Topic has been created or updated
• Conditions: ( match all conditions )
  • Truth Value (Topic is new)
  • Content has a particular status (Topic is locked)
  • Topic is in certain forums (Topic is in specific forums)
  • Member is in a certain member group (Topic author is in a certain group)
• Actions:
  • Unlock content (Unlock the topic)

@Kevin Carwile I would like to use that addon, but I did just remove it from my site for a reason...

Still looking for this feature, I think it would make sense as an addition to the base suite.
