Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Christopher Furlong Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Once you post a Youtube link in the editor and click submit, it automatically embeds the player in to the body of your post. However, the default setting has the player much to large. How can I reduce the size of the player. I'm totally loss about are there or aren't there BB codes and where to find to them.
Christopher Furlong Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Once I set an arbitrary number to 500 px, the threads previously will auto change those settings from unlimited to 500 px?
Morrigan Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Possibly but probably not. The posts would need to be recached.
Christopher Furlong Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Interesting. I must note the recaching part. Does this mean I should do this after changing the pixel width, because the Youtube video will not appear in my test post?
Christopher Furlong Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 Hmmm Something is preventing it from showing after I edit. I even cleared my cookies and used a different browser to test.
Morrigan Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Looking at it, it will only change future videos (unless you repost them) as the width appears to be embedded in the code in ckeditor.
Christopher Furlong Posted July 9, 2015 Author Posted July 9, 2015 This is frustrating. Nothing I do besides clicking the unlimited size works. You can't even review documentation because documentation seems to be of no high importance for these software developers. You would think they would have at least a Wiki page.
Morrigan Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Then I would recommend reporting a bug because that particular setting should in fact fix it, if it is not than that indicates an issue.
