News application allows you to add news for your community. Includes support for news categories and comments.

FYI: I also picked up your donations app and the devfocus link back has the same issue there as well. Let me know if I can be to any help to you in the process - although I am no expert on ip board, I have a team of twenty designers/client side folks that would be happy to contribute. 

Is it possible to add the reputation system to the news articles? Comments are already enabled, I'd like to see that in the articles aswell.

When I share my articles on social media - the default forum image is displayed as the "headline/preview" image. Is it possible to make social media use the (first) image from the news article?

Currently I only support rss exports. I have added rss imports in some of my other apps and it will likely be added in the future for the News app. But that won't be in the near term as I still have existing custom requests and bug fixes to catch up on.

Don't mean to be critical, but you should make this more clear on the listing page. I bought this thinking I could use it to display industry specific rss feeds on my forum, when in actuality this just gives you the ability setup your own rss feeds based on your own "news".

I went to the Applications section of my Admin CP, found News had a tag on it saying "Update Available." I clicked on that and went to a page on DevFuse, about news, with no option to update or download anything. 

Next at the top of my Admin CP, I clicked the link to "add new applications from the marketplace" and searched for and found News. The only button available said "Install," so I clicked on that. I got this message:

So whatever I do, I can't upgrade News version 2.3.0 with version 2.3.1 without over-writing everything and deleting the news stories I have so far.

Could this be a problem on my end somehow? As anybody else been able to update to version 2.3.1 without having this issue?

Would there be anyway to have the news widget use list rather than grid? I think it looks nicer on the front page to use the list style that the actual news front page uses. Also is there gonna be support to add tags to news?

i also noticed if you have any styling on your usergroup it doesnt use it in the news section like the rest of the site does.

Yeah that would be great,I just think the feed on the front page would look better in a listing format. 

As for the styling it's on the news application itself, I will add a screenshot when I get home today

I'm not sure when this started happening but the app no longer works. It says we have no permissions to access it whatsoever. Any idea as to what is causing this?
