Mobile menu, close button or "x" please

Can the mobile menu have an "x" or "close" to close it? I keep hitting the back button and it goes back a page. How do you close it? I found tapping outside it works but that is not ideal.

The button should be where the menu icon was before it was covered by the menu.

It's pretty common to just have that area on the left, outside of the menu, to close it.

But I guess a close button of equal size wouldn't hurt. There's room for it at least.
