July 19, 201311 yr Less people are paying Google for their bullfaeces service, that's number 1, which clearly isn't mentioned in that topic...
August 7, 201311 yr Actually, the way the Mobile skin works currently, or doesn't, IMO, and the lack of support for iPads and iPhones in the message editor, makes us lose a lot of traffic. And we are not using Adsense. Kind regards, Wim
August 15, 201311 yr A lot of members on our forum use the mobile skin. Couldn't agree more about its importance.
August 17, 201311 yr I dont actually think the mobile skin is that bad. Although typing this on my gs3 I have realised I cant even see what im typing!
September 20, 201311 yr The problem is that it kinda works for a few users, and doesn't for most. It is also almost impossible for normal users, who expect a mobile device to work without fiddling, to e.g., reset or clear cache and history. This apart from the renewed iOs problems on Apple devices. I just wish the mobile skin was just a slightly downgraded skin for slower devices, like the older versions had in 1.3x etc., but then with pictures :). And a full editor! Regards, Wim
September 23, 201311 yr 4.0 will feature a responsive skin that automatically adapts to the viewing device's width/height, rather than relying on mapping to a specific list of supported devices. In other words, the concerns you mentioned won't be relevant in the next major release - they will have been addressed. :)
September 23, 201311 yr Author 4.0 will feature a responsive skin that automatically adapts to the viewing device's width/height, rather than relying on mapping to a specific list of supported devices. In other words, the concerns you mentioned won't be relevant in the next major release - they will have been addressed. Another piece of good news.
September 23, 201311 yr Great news indeed! Now the wait begins (well, again actually)... ;) Warm regards, Wim

October 13, 201311 yr Responsive is better than making a whole new theme for mobile, half the links don't even work on the current one  For what it's work the links work just fine, if you are having issues please submit a support ticket and we can fix any issues. Thank you
October 15, 201311 yr Is it going to have a proper link to a forum. For some reason my sites mobile skins never have a proper link into the forum.
October 16, 201311 yr I am unsure what you mean, however with a responsive skin you basically have just one skin and it adapts the interface based on the viewing size. In other words, with 4.0 if a link to an area didn't work, it would affect both the regular desktop browser interface AND the mobile interface (because it's just one skin, one template, one link defined). You should see far far fewer inconsistencies between mobile browsing and desktop browsing as a result.
October 22, 201311 yr IP Content needs to be addressed as well (for mobile skins). I did a work around but it is a pain and not elegant at all. Not trying to be too direct but it is certainly a specific area that also needs attention.
