I have had some problems with this feature

Automatically parse media URLs?

If enabled, and a link is submitted without bbcode tags that matches your configured media tag URLs, the link will be treated as media instead of a regular hyperlink.


When you have disabled it and you enable this, links won't be parsed to live media.

After this you have to rebuild posts (it takes long time) or dropping the posts cache in your ACP: "System TAB > Tool & Settings > Cache Management > Cached Posts > Remove All" as teraßyte said.

But this is missing in that setting. Lot of users don't know what going there, so there should be advice about this:
