IP.CHAT HELP!

In my forums chatroom, I saw someone typing with an offwhite background and in italics.

In the source for my forums chatroom, I found

.chat-me {

	font-style: italic;

	background-color: #e2f3e2;

}

The colours match up and the font is italic, so I'm assuming that this is what this person did. My question is, what is .chat-me and how is it used in the chatroom?

Any help is appreciated.
