I wish there was a way to archive linked images, sort of like the way google image search works. An image preview is displayed in the post and stored in the db. If you click it you see the original. If it is missing, the preview still shows in the post. I am aware using attachments solves this, but I want to offer both, most people use image hosts even if they have attachments enabled. I posted this in feedback because I would love to see something like this, if it is possible. If anyone has any ideas please post. I would like to know if this is possible, if so, I can post in Modification Requests also. There are a lot of great posts on everyone's forums that are ruined by missing image icons. Thanks!
