adding functionality in CORE

Hello!

I want to add some functionality in IPB\admin\applications\core\extensions\usercpForms.php.
In function saveFormEmail().
I want to do: when user changes his email from IPB it automatically changes in my application.
I done it with "changing of core" but it not acceptable for my employer. He need plugin for simple installation.
Is it possible to do it with plugin or hook?
Can you advice me any examples?
