Way to disable/control URL trimming

I'd like to see a way to disable or control URL trimming. When URLs are trimmed (parts replaced by ...), copy/paste no longer works and important parts of the URL might be hidden.

I find that quite annoying too when the URL gets broken due to missing parts. Just had to start using the "Insert URL" icon and pasting the link twice rather than in the text box
