Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
W13 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Instead of a vague warning, "You have entered a link to a website that the administrator does not allow links to" I'd like to see a, "The following URLs are not allowed: {a list of URL's the user entered in the post which are not allowed}" To get around it, I'm having to copy-paste the disallowed links (there's over 100 I think) into notepad, posting my message, and then pasting the disallowed links back into ACP. Bleh. The post has like a 100 links. Now I don't want to sit there comparing each link to a possible 100.
henke37 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Not going to happen in ipb 2.*.*, wait for ipb 3.0. I blame this on poor error system design not allowing the bbcode engine to report errors with parameters in the error messages.
Jυra Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I prefer it not to show. When I block urls, I blocking them for a reason. A generic message is best.
