Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
sychn Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I turned off the board attachment system to the members because it's very difficult to manage. I use IPG and IPD for uploading pictures and files, which make your site looks in good order and professional. I suggest IPS to make the attachment system connect with IPG and IPD, so that the members don't need to waste time to goto IPG or IPD if they just want to post pictures or files into a forum. For example, the administrator can setup the 'forum A' connected with the 'gallery category A' and the 'download category A'. So when the members upload .jpg/.gif/.png files, it will automaticly upload to the 'gallery category A' and show the pictures in the post, when the members upload .rar/.zip/.pdf files, it will automaticly upload to the 'download category A' and show the file links in the post. It would be much better if this function could be made as a switch or something else. Thanks.
CallMeLee Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Integration between IP.Board and IP.Downloads could definitely be improved. It doesn't make any sense to have separate lists for permitted file extensions.
